Has anyone personally dealt with hostestate and what do you think?

Posted by Sturdy Aric, 10-01-2010, 02:36 PM
Hi, I could not find any. You can search here and google and see what you find. And you could ask them if they have any to show. WHT Search Google Search Best of luck with you're seach.

Try contacting them and see if their responses are satisfying your needs. They don't seem to be mentioned much in this forum.

There new how ever give them a shot and let us know how it goes.

You just want me to be a guinea pig. I know they are somewhat new, but I didn't know if anyone on this forum was using them.

Posted by Dustin B Cisneros, 10-01-2010, 04:12 PM
Never would i want that, I think they may offer 30 day money back but for that you need to confirm with them.

I know,

I would have thought of giving them a try, but they seem to be very unprofessional. I dont know why would someone offer such a cheap reseller hosting plan. And they dont have 24/7 support yet. They say that they'll do it soon but till then I cant go with them. In this business we do need 24/7/365 support actually but still 24/7 is ok..

I talked to 2 people at different times. One answered all of my questions. The other answered a couple of questions, and I asked him to clarify it. A few minutes later he then proceeded to ask if I had any more questions. I asked him again to clarify the original question. 10 minutes later he logged out of chat. Now there might have been some issue with the chat, but that was my experience.

Thanks for the update! If they can not answer a couple simple questions then you might want to

Hi Could you email me or let me know what questions you didn't have answered. We do Have 24x7 Support even through our free beta program what we don't have going yet is 24x7 end-user support I think thats what you mean. We actually don't offer a money back guarantee. I don't believe our costs are cheap <> Hope I covered everything here. Last edited by bear; 10-03-2010 at 12:30 AM.

Hostestate, Do you have any clients that are on the WHT forums that can give you a review? Also what does your 24/7 customer support include? (I know it isn't end user yet) Josh

Posted by Dustin B Cisneros, 10-03-2010, 02:56 PM
Your not allowed to ask your clients to give you a review so i doubt that will be done its totally up to them to do that.

Posted by Richard-BCS, 10-03-2010, 04:04 PM
well it would be nice to know if you require End User Support or normal Technical Support to point you in the right direction in case it doesnt work out with Hostestate.

Posted by Joshy Boi, 10-03-2010, 04:23 PM
Semoweb - Good to know. I am new to this forum, so I am still learning the ropes around here. @Richard - I would require end user support. I like my sleep

No problem. :-p

Hi Josh, You might not be surprised that it is not as common to get reviews in Reseller Hosting because by nature most want it private label and look for host's that can do this for them. The scope of support covers anything server related unfortunately we don't offer assistance with scripts etc in saying that we have a HostAid Program (Inspired by Limestone) Which covers script installs, updates and anything else that you may run into that is not covered by us. If one of your customers are having problems and you cannot deal with it directly just submit a ticket on our end and our techs will fix it and let you know, Hopefully our end-user support is up and running in two weeks time. In the case of knowing if our support is real 24x7 we use an outsourcing team with full server management and covered ticket support so that every issue that you submit can be handled by them and to top it off we have been recently recruiting our own staff to ensure more quality is put into technical support.

The best thing to do is wait till Sunday around 3am their time and call for support that puts the 24/7 to the test. As for a host review I think it would be great to see host reviews good or bad that way everyone gets a good idea of what each host is like.

Posted by respite, 10-18-2010, 08:31 AM
Just to recap that end-user support is now available on selected packages.

Wel I've never used them. They have a nice design/website though.

Thanks for that It is a working progress though, Looks like Payton hung up his boots for a month again Can't get in contact with him

Posted by Parker K, 10-25-2010, 03:14 PM
I just signed up, I'll post a review after a month or two and let you know how it is! It would be nice if your support would give me my cPanel info though :/

Posted by respite, 10-25-2010, 04:40 PM
Eek Parker got off to a bad start with you didn't we, Thanks for signing up! A little case of mistaken Identity. I'm talking to you now as we speak.

Support tickets are really slow. Getting a few sites restored from backup is like pulling teeth. Sheesh...

Posted by respite, 11-19-2010, 03:04 AM
Backups are not a fast process I see all your tickets getting done I truly don't appreciate you coming here before asking someone why you feel your backup is not getting done fast enough for you.

I currently have a vps with hostestate. In my personal opinion, they are the best host i have had for a vps in years. The service is fast compared to A LOT of other companies out there. Every time i put a support ticket in for help, it gets answered within the hour. Doesn't matter if it is about the server or a question i have in general, they are very fast and friendly with every ticket i have made. As far as the server goes. I have had zero problems with my vps.

Thanks jscott04, We really appreciate positive comments. Good luck with your VPS if you ever have any problems and things are not turning out so good in the help desk I'm only an email away joshua@hostestate.com

I just bought a VPS with them yesterday...They should state more clearly that all of your Control Panel stuff is Trial Version only... Their support sent me to sales (who by the way I have a feeling they use Indian Tech. Support) Essentially my diagnosis is that their servers are good while their support is in a lack for a better term...LACKING

Thats what I am talking about right there... And this Last edited by tiyoo; 11-23-2010 at 01:44 PM. Reason: more stuff to add

Looks like you need to refresh your license we install the VPS then license the IP... Why did you come to WHT and not to our helpdesk first...

Posted by respite, 11-23-2010, 06:07 PM
Just looked on the helpdesk found a ticket relating to Trial cPanel someone has gotten back to you now...
