Overwhelmed – but know what I want

I recognized that posting a broad stroke question such as “What is the best reseller” is the equivalent of asking what is the best color in a box of 96 crayons. It’s a personal preference when allowed such broad parameters so let’s narrow it down to the best shades of blue. So perhaps if I list the things I want, someone might help point me in the right direction. Before anyone suggest I checked out the Reseller Hosting Offer section... Been there, done that to help me narrow down the list. I thought I was close to what I needed in Innohosting. However after a couple of somewhat prompt replies to my inquires, after 5 hours after my last set of question I haven’t heard back. My concern is that this is an issue with me being in the States where they are in the UK. And if after 5 hours of no reply and still waiting for my post in the pre-sales area waiting to be approved for public viewing where someone else might be able to assist me… Well, if this is what I get during the initial “wooing” stage I shudder to think what would happen after I’m strapped into a long term contract. I don't blame them perse, just need a state side. 1 – US based hosting company. Where there are people to answer questions during the prime time of 90% of my users in the US, but still have 24/7 for the rest of my users. 2 – End-User support. (Done in the name of our company – seamless) The reseller package is being done as more or less a convenience of a one stop shop for the 100+ groups within our association. They would only be confused with the details. 3 – Current version of software. Updates and patches are released for a purpose to fix bugs and security. 4 – Dedicated IP Address. Can be an additional cost over hosting price. 5 – cPanel + WHM 6 – White Label with Anonymous Server Hostname, Custom Name Servers and whatever else 7 – Overselling Ability 8 – Softaculous or Fantastico 9 – RVSiteBuilder 10 – RVSkins 11 – Free Reseller account for SSL and Domain 12 – Clustered Failover DNS 13 – Under 30$ US per month 14 – No long term contract preferred – keeps the incentive to provide good service. 15 – Free WHMCS 16 - Not a reseller of another reseller package on a Master Reseller account. Must have direct food chain link. 1:1 to the servers. I don’t know... doesn’t seem like I’m asking for that much. Who knows. Thanks to all that reply in advance.

Going to be hard I'd say because of the end user support. Lots of other providers meet your requirements but that one really narrows it down to a select few and if you wasn't satisfied with Innohosting, I'm not sure who else you can turn to unless you're willing to provide support for yourself, or at LEAST be the middle man where your customers contact you first, and if you cannot fix the issue yourself, then find a host who is "OK" with you forwarding on issues out of your hands on to them. Best of luck.

Our sales dept. carries a lesser priority over tech support which is US based and availabale by live chat, toll free phone and ticket...The best way to get in touch with us would be via ticket..if you PM me your ticket number I'd happily look into it for you or if you wish, you can pass your number and I can give you a call to discuss your requirements.. Either way..all the best with your search

Thanks Aquaris The issue with end-user support is because I’m web dev, period. I don’t know the first thing about servers and setting up account beyond a click in cPanel... anything over that and I’ve no clue. Seriously, I couldn’t even fake it. I own my limitations. I work for a non-profit association; we’re not going to be doing this to make tons of money. It’s just if and when our outside groups have issues they need a place to send those, and sometimes that going to be when I’m not at work, even if I could assist them. They will need someone else to ask and get answers. I’m pretty sure most of them will know it’s not ME responding… but for some they might need more hand-holding and I’m not in a position to do that. Regarding Innohosting. It’s not a situation of where I’m necessarily unsatisfied with Innohosting; it’s their ability to quickly respond during my primetime which is their non-prime hours. This is why I feel I’ll be better served with a US based company and where 90% of our groups will be located. Beyond that I don’t have any experience with them to make a judgment on them as a whole. I’m sure they are a fine and wonderful hosting company and if I were located in the UK I’m sure it would be a perfect match. This is why I contacted them initially... because they have better review/comments than most. Then again, maybe it’s the fact I have the a corp card burning a hole in my pocket that makes the 5+ hour wait seem extreme.

Wow - IH-Rameen That was rather fast. I'm still waiting on my ticket and pre-sales question on your forum to be posted. Perhaps I should post all of my questions for Innohosting in this forum?

Take it from me.....you won't be hanging round waiting with Innohosting. From what I've seen in my dealings with them on behalf of a client, IH provide a fantastic service. And Rameen and Chris are two of the hardest working guys in the industry.

HawkHost are based in US and are recommended a lot at WHT. Definitely another host to consider.
