My curiousity in Reseller thing

Posted by neubies, 03-12-2010, 07:23 AM
Since this is just to satisfied my curiosity about reseller thing, I have buy one of the cheapest reseller account that I had found. This is my first time to deal with this thing and it kind a dissapoint for me. The hosting that sell the account have given my account name and password for a billing account and its work ok(I can login and change the password etc). However, what dissapoint me is that, I didnt get any information regarding username or password for WHM, CPanel etc(its only been 1 day pass actually). Is this a standard for reseller account(which need time to setting it up)? If yes, how long actually its gonna take(an estimated maybe)?

Creating a reseller account does not take more then 5 minute ( manually ). One day to do it is pretty long. Try to email them, maybe there is any issue that might made the email to don't come to you or something.

This isn't standard but you should contact your host. You should have contacted them before posting here as it would have helped out a lot more. Without knowing who your host is or what their policies are, no one here can really give you an accurate answer.

Hosting50: Thanks for the advice Hosting50, I had try emailing them using other email address and all my problem have been resolved. Its my stupidity after all , they had send me the information but it land to my spam box(again my stupidity lmao). @njoker555: I have contacted them more than once actually and didnt see any email come to my inbox(again need to said my stupidity and careless lol) so decided to ask here to get some information about the standard(well it's my 1st step into reseller thing). I'm sorry njoker555 but dont think I should give the company name and their have do their work apparently. @kjawaid: well I didnt expect too high but as a customer you need to know more about the progress isnt it? Also when you doing business you need to give 100%(or maybe more) commitment to your customer. You cant run away or have a mentality "you're paying too low so I'm gonna entertain you when I like only!". At first place, why did put a low rate/price? When you give a statement like that it just encourage another person to open a new cheap hosting business and giving support like that. By the way, there's also a good company with a decent price and good support outside there(for example the host njoker555 represent ) P/s: I said its the cheapest I had found

Good to here that you had the account info. Maybe you could post a review on this web host soon.

Well that's never a good sign. You can request a cancellation and see how long it takes them to do anything OR if they do anything at all. Good luck.

Creating a reseller account is just like creating a shared account, point click and send out the information.

Hehhehe Im too love that spam box lol So far so good, their server speed is average but among the faster I had try(I had use several other before this including my local hosting), their support also an average which didnt take too long to wait(ignore what I complain before since its all landing in my spam box and I didnt aware of it lol)-average around 2-3 hours for support ticket to be reply(considered their are one man operation-i believe), supportive, friendly and very polite eventhough Im being rude for the last email they still entertain me, gonna updated more after a month. Do I need to tell the company name or wait for my next review njoker555?

You can try them out for a while and then bring them up in your next review. You don't want to assume anything right now, bad or good.

1 Day is Extremely long in my opinion considering they are using cPanel, all my web reseller & shared web hosting packages are instantly setup, So you order it and pay it and you have your account information right after you hit pay now. So yes, 1 Day is EXTREMELY long for a cPanel reseller account setup.

OP stated that the account information landed in his spam box.
