POSTING AGAIN: DNS resolving issue

Posted by Post Reader, 06-06-2012, 05:47 AM
i also posted something same days before but was not sure of what actually was happening with. Now the issue seems to be with the dns. I have a reseller account with customers on it. The issue started a month ago when suddenly DNS started malfunctioning. Sites were wccessible through proxy or through IP address another alternate way was using OpenDNS to access the sites but this is not the way when a thing is to be accessed globally. I or my client can't ask each and every visitor to please use proxy or OpenDNS to access the website. to resolve this i changed the server, the issue remained there. I changed the domain, nothing happened. changed to another DNS but files were still on the same server, nothing happened there too. Now i am fed up of giving tries to almost every solution. What to do now. Either to change the domain? or any other way getting out that problem? Please guide me regards

Did you run any DNS diagnostic tests on the domains experiencing problems? Try dnsreport.com and dnsstuff.com to begin with. If you post one of the domains here someone could probably give you some better advice, but at the moment the omission of details wont get you much targetted help. Another thought, are your clients isolated to a local ISP or region? some ISPs are notoriously bad at operating DNS servers, especially in SE Asia and hence that would explain why OpenDNS works.

Since it is a reseller account what did the provider say? You left out the extension but it looks like a .com http://www.intodns.com/noo-e-urdu.com The only major problem I see is that you have no MX record. (if this is the site you are referring too. Theres also no errors on "abdulqadoos.com" the nameserver. I can also resolve both sites.

Quite possible.

Try having a go using www.just-dnslookup.com and see whether the test monitors can resolve properly.

Please ask your hosting provider to restart the DNS server and please flush local DNS resolver caches on your side.
