Posted by ratsbew, 05-23-2007, 04:49 PM Hi, Could anyone please offer some recommendations for hosts that offer a service satisfying all of the following in a single service: Linux/PHP/MySQL Shared or VPS hosting UK-based servers Failover (high availability) Automated backups [optional] Load balancing [preferred] cPanel/WHM Ideally, looking to spend less than £60 per month to host a single, relatively large PHP/MySQL website which currently gets about 100 daily visitors browsing pages and downloading attachments. Speed (hence only considering UK-hosts), uptime and disaster recovery are key requirements. Thanks

Or take 2 hosting plans with different companies, and use both the name servers on your domain, upload your website to both hosts, that way if one host is down, it will bounce on to the next. Email maybe a pain if it goes on one server when you check mail on the other. Personally I do not know too much about linux clustered hosting I am more of a windows expert myself, but I recommend taking a look around some different hosts.
