Need reseller host suggestions.

Hi, Im interested in getting some hosting so i can run a few websites, however I also want to have reseller capabilties so i can resell on some spare space to fund it. I only need a small amount of resources for the moment however i need the ability to upgrade easily. I am experienced in useing cpanel and whm so this would be prefered but is not a nesessity. It MUST be linux and anywhere i would like the cheapest i can get, yet reliable with rougly 2-5GB of space. I like the idea of a small host if i can get to know the owner quite well. If anyone can help i would be gratefull, i dont really want a company ranting on about how good they think they are though, past customers would be much more helpful. Thanks, Alec

What is your budget for your reseller? I would start off by search the reseller offers forum get a list down and send in pre-sales emails. Also search the host here on WHT aswell.

I recommend www.HTTPme.com They are very reliable, and the community of customers on their forums is great.

Personally, unless you have some serious intent on becoming a host, or you have found a market that understands your hobby-like/less than 100% focus approach to it, I'd not bother with offering hosting. I just don't see it leading anywhere good. Just a call to double check your plan before you put the wheels in motion.

Well, rather than attempting to become a host maybe friends who also need space split the cost of the reseller? Be a lot less headaches and no need to maintain support or anything of that nature. Also may be best in this situation if you are the only one controlling the global account part and they just ask about accounts on the reseller. Just a thought though

I think getting some reseller space and splitting the cost amongst the users is a good idea. I agree with Dan (that's twice, today!) that reselling the leavings just as a way to cover the prices will likely become more of a headache than it's worth. And really, with the price of reseller plans these days, anyone can easily afford a decent sized reseller plan.

Yeah sorry im wasnt planning on putting much effort into reselling it, it was just so that i could offer hosting if someone i know needs it etc. In reply to the bandwidth, im not really that bothered just something that matches with the webspace so 10x the webspace upwards. Um budget, well cos im only looking for small ideal would be around $5 or under. Thanks for all your help, ill start useing your guidence now. Alec
