Resellergeeks.com is the worst company

This is my situation, I purchased reseller hosting from them to see how the competition is doing. I am very much pleased to see this response from them. After more then 24+ hours for them to email me my welcome email, I never got a welcome email or setup anything. I used their contact us form, and tried many many times to call their 1888 number they have listed (which just plays a recording of their hours) I even called during the middle of their business hours and still nothing. So I disputed in paypal to get my money back after waiting 48hrs for their reply. And this is what response I got from them after another 24hrs of the paypal dispution. From Seller: Reseller Geeks (CyberNetworks), Inc. on 2/28/2007 19:03 PST You don't have to lie just because you found another company. We are worth over a Million dollar and I myself the owner have several more businesses all over the country. So there's no way I will run out of business if I don't want to. No wants to keep your little $12.95..because you could've just open a support ticket on our site and request your refund you ignorant little ****. I created your account in less than 12 hours and I have proof. From Buyer: Interact Computers on 2/27/2007 21:06 PST I ordered their Hosting Reseller Package #2 for $12.95 its been over 24hrs and they say their max setup time is 12 normally a few. I think they are out of business and do not want to stop taking peoples money. I have found a new company to purchase from and would like my money refunded.

one would hope that their system would be fully automated. Sorry to hear about your experience.

Ya, I knew when I purchased there was a 12hr wait time which I find normal. But over 24hrs without any response and answering of their so called phone support during the business hours.. Its just not right.

Actually, I would hope the *opposite* - completely automated signups/activations usually are a bad thing since it attracts spammers, hackers and other web vermin.

Exactly. The less automation in the signup process, the safer, imo. clutchhost, maybe their welcome email got caught in your spam filter? That's happens from time to time.

No Aussie Bob, I thought that too so I checked and double checked, I had emails in my spam folder but nothing remotely from resellergeeks. Ive heard these same scenarios about resellergeeks.com so I do not believe I am the only one.

I'd be interested in hearing what ResellerGeeks has to say about this. To me, it seems there is more to the story than what has been told...If they hadn't set up your account within the time specified, then the response from the host would not have been so hostile. It seems your account was set up, and he was a bit pissed that you filed a dispute.. In some cases there is nobody to specifically blame.. There was probably some communication failure along the way.. I would have waited slightly longer than 48hrs after requesting a refund as PayPal does give you 60 days I think to dispute the transaction... Last edited by rv_irl; 03-02-2007 at 07:47 AM.

HAHA what a reply from the reseller geeks team. even the richesh person in the world bill gates would dare to give such a response to his clients at any situation.

the seller might be right saying he should be opening a ticket asking refund. however the language is a low street one I would not do bussiness with him

Posted by Aussie Bob, 03-02-2007, 09:57 AM
I agree, there's no need for such language, to customers or to ex-customers.

That's a very harsh response. I believe there's misunderstanding somewhere (email issues) but they should not answer like that.

For the most part, sometimes billing issues give problems to hosting companies regarding organization and swiftness. If this were any other complaint, I would have given the benefit of the doubt to the Hosting company in question because customers tend to complain real easy and without patience. In addition, there are always two side to every story, HOWEVER, judging from the response that you received from them (assuming nothing doctored and 100% verbatim) tells me of their professionalism and how they represent themselves. None of this makes them look very good. My 2 cents

No it doesn't! That is very unprofessional. You never never talk with a client, former client this way.

I can honestly say, I went into purchasing resellergeeks on a good note. I gave them every benefit of the doubt to prove me wrong about the delay, I even used their contact form... called their 1888 number (which goes no where) and emailed them. No reply .. so 48hrs later of course you would file a dispute. Their website that is attached to their paypal hostecs (dot) com is empty, so I felt they went out of business and are still accepting money as a scam.

A big advantage of communicating in writing (and this wasn't even IM) is that one can take the seconds needed to temper oneself, reread their statements and correct what is inappropriate. Looks like some just don't want to make use of this advantage....

Well it looks like they have went belly up... I purchased reseller hosting from them last month, at 1st I was impressed.. Seems I thought that to soon.. After about 3 weeks I recieved an email stating they were moving my hosting to another server as the original one had been hacked or comprimised, they said it would be 24 hours.. it turned out to be 48 hours... The new server seemed very fast Quad Core... It was fast indeed, as within an hour of looking around new server specs, WHOOOOSH it went offline.. Now I cant even get on their homepage, emails returned as undeliverable... So your guess is as good as mine... Trouble is they still advertising on eBay for the same accounts I purchased... Regards..

Man there are just some things you should NEVER buy off e-bay, hosting being one of them.
