Posted by umn2004, 05-30-2010, 03:42 AM Hi, I am new to all this VPS stuff and maybe that's why my is facing problem since the day I moved on to the VPS from shared. Last week, I moved from shared to the VPS with 1.5GB RAM. My sites gets spikes of traffic, sometimes reaching up to 2000 visitors online in 5 minutes span. This happens almost everyday during peak time. It was fine when I was in Shared Hosting but now, the sites goes non-responsive every time there is a spike in the traffic. I checked my CPU and Memory usage and I normally find them low during these slow time. Please help me tweak the Server as I am really new to it. My Apache Configuration Right now: MinSpareServers: 5 MaxSpareServers: 10 MaxClients: 512 MaxRequestsPerChild: 1000 Or is it a mysql problem? (I tried the DB caching but still the problem persists). Or is it a node overloading problem? Please suggest and help me tweak my server. Best regards, Umi
