Which one - dathorn, meirhosting, bluewho, hostdime?

I'm looking for a reseller account and those are 4 I'm considering after searching for information on various resellers. Which one or ones would you recommend out of that list? I prefer a host that doesn't allow adult material (or at least puts me on a server that doesn't have adult sites) and where I can get dedicated IPs and own nameservers. dathorn - no adult material, 1 static IP included, additional IPs $1.50 per month. meirhosting - adult sites on seperate server, static IPs £1 per month. bluewho - includes 5 IPs??? Seems like a good deal. Don't know about adult hosting. hostdime - $1.50 per IP per month, adult sites allowed. Last edited by gazebo; 09-10-2004 at 03:38 PM.

If they allow what you want to host go with bluewho.

Bluewho seems best.

Better check hostdimes forums as of late, if they are not deleating all the posts.

I've got a couple of accountswith dathorn for almost 3 years and don't have any major problem. Support are very fast, tickets are usually responded to in 5 minutes. They are really cheap too. Price is 1/3 of bluewho.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. My original post may not have been clear. I don't want adult hosting and I want to be on a server that does not have any adult sites (or cracks, warez etc) - the ISP here may block the whole server if they find porn on it (I'm in the middle east where incoming material is censored). I did a price summary/comparison... bluewho 1GB/15GB $20 pm 5 IPs included dathorn 2GB/30GB $13.50 pm 1 IP included, $1.50 pm per extra IP hostdime 5+5GB/50+10GB $20 pm no IPs, $1.50 pm per IP meirhosting 0.5GB/10GB £8 pm no IPs, £1 pm per IP I think all have personal nameservers. Space/bandwidth isn't so important to me - 1GB/10GB will be much more than I need for now.

I had experience as a reseller with hostdime. Just can say, it can't be better !

TurnkeyResellers. Robert runs a tight shop, consults with his customers to build the business that they want and absolutely does not allow adult hosting. Plus his plans are good, he adds new servers prior to overloading problems and you can call him at 3am.

Sorry - I made a typo. I should have said "His plans are freakin excellent" And I am putting my money where my mouth is by moving my main commercial site onto Turnkey early next week.

On that information, I would not recommend hostdime this is only based on what I have read on their forums and the outages forum here.

I actually signed up for an account with them a little while back and, surprisingly, found it to be a good experience. Support is really very fast. Some of the fastest I've seen, in fact. Tickets were responded to in generally around 10-15 minutes. It was better a few times. I don't make a habit of sending support tickets at very convenient hours, either. Most of the submissions were done at 4-5AM their time. Others were done in the middle of the day, but you would expect them to be fast then. Their network is a pretty good one as well. Speed and reliability were like those you would expect to see on a host as big as HostDime. No disappointment there. The only real "issue" I had with them was when they had to do a massive upgrade/change to their main nameservers. This caused all sites to be inaccessible by their domain name (still available by IP) for a period of time. I can't remember how long. At least it was something they planned to do, and not something that "just happened." I do have to say that I am quite please with them. I did have some bad experiences with them a long time ago, but from what I saw recently, they really have changed and improved greatly.

I have had a reseller account with hostdime for a few months now (had shared hosting before I upgraded) and have been completely satisfied with all the service and network performance. Definately check them out.

I was hosted with Dathorn for a few months last year. They were great, very fast responses on tickets and they seem to be very strict on resource hogs too so that was good also.

BlueWho Been with them since February this year. Price is definitely not the cheapest but after switching hosts 4 times I learned that I get what I pay for. Support staff are always helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. In general my support ticket is responded within 30 minutes which I think very good considering timezone difference. Servers are stable and uptime are excellent. Occasional problem of high load are handled very fast. So far so good. Dathorn Was with them only for a month last year. The reason was because a week after I signed up, my server had ddos attack which lasted for more than a week with no clear decision what they were going to do with our accounts and curt replies to our rants in the forum. So I decided to leave. However, I heard they improved their support and are more courteous towards customer now. Server speed was good and support was fast.

In 2 weeks I will have been with BlueWho for 1 yr my longest hosting experience , including when I was a shared hosting user so we are talking since 1999. I used to host hop because I couldn't find a decent host which is why I became a host . BlueWho is top notch , they don't allow adult content and support will spoil you.

Dathorn Very good uptime, fast support, excellent price

I'm with bluewho too and my *average* for support tickets is 7 minutes or less. I recommend them highly

Dathorn, solid support, solid uptimes (2 accounts, one for 16+ months other for 13+ months) both have uptimes of 99.x% for the entire time Ive been with them. Good forums, nice community. Couldn't be happier.

I had a very nice experience with BlueWho. They appear to be well established. Technical support requests were answered promptly within minutes. I was very impressed.

Bluewho is solid - very good uptime and quick support response. Had an account with them about 6 months. Dathorn - good uptime but my experience with their support about a year ago was not so great. They were quite terse and unhelpful especially considering that they created the problem in the first place. But I gave them another chance and have had no problems since. From the sound of the other posts, the customer service may have improved since then.

gazebo What is your final decision? Whether you select your choice? Because I am in search of a good hosting provider. My expectations: 3/30 Gb Linux Cpanel uptime > above 99 more reliable regards ****
