Making private HDD for os only is good? the server may has 4*1.5TB HDD and if we run OS only in one 80GB IDE hdd it will be good? so it will be cause to make OS reload or it may cause any decrease performace?

But eventually everything will be on that 80GB drive itself as it creates /usr, /var partitions during OS installation and installs various important things. You can only use additional drives as '/home' OR as backups.

You can change that, you don't have to keep anything the way the OS installs it...

When you set up partitions you can set where to mount /var And yes, it will improve performance if your applications do a lot of i/o to the hdd
