Anyone out there in a reseller plan...with the same provider...for longer than 90 day

Posted by JohnTight, 11-16-2003, 02:47 AM
Seems like I see a lot of comments on hosting experience after one week or after one month. I don't see much after that. It also appears that there's a lot of jumping around from host to host. OK, here's the question: Who out there has been in the same reseller program, with the same provider for more than 90 days and who is that reseller?

Lots of them I believe. Don't ask me, I just move provider . Why do you wanted to ask about it anyway? Why don't you directly ask something like "more than 3 month hosting with xxxhosting"?

Have an account with Clook.net and it's coming up on the 1 year mark. Regards, Mark

httpme.com since february i think, nothing but a great experience so far, great servers, great uptime and great support, they are not without problems or some downtime here and there but the level of communication is beyond any other host i've ever used

I've been with www.prioritycolo.com since August 2002. No complaints whatsoever. Just do a search for them and you'll find all positive reviews. Good luck. Vito

Just over 90 days (I think 95 - see my other posts) with BlueWho.com - but looks like I'm here for the long haul. But I don't think there's so much "jumping around" as you put it; if you have a lot of accounts, it's not so convenient to move them every three months. And if you have to move hosts too often you should start thinking - maybe the problem is with you and not with the hosts? At the very least it suggests that you didn't check out your future host carefully enough. GDO

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=123885 -- my thread Clook.net -- highly recommend, as some one else has previously mentioned in the this thread, and plenty of others I'm sure if you run a search.

I've been a http://www.dathorn.com/ customer for 9 months.

I think it's a good question. Two months ago I decided to venture into reseller programs and at this moment I am dumping the first reseller because of too much downtime. On the other hand, I've had shared hosting for several years with Experthost.com without a problem and I will keep important clients with them.

Avoid FeaturePrice like the plague.

Been with Addaction for a bit over a year now. They're excellent for what I use.

I have been with lightningservers.net ever since my business started. Been nearly 18 months.

I've been with OKIHost since mid-March. I have 2 reseller accounts with them, one using cPanel and one using Ensim Pro. Couldn't be happier with the support I get, and how rarely it's needed for a problem on their end.

WOW...Good to see some positive comments about providers rather than the usual ups/downs

how do you like ensim pro compared to cpanel?

Posted by kenop, 11-21-2003, 08:22 AM
Maybe after 90 days with a host, there's a good chance they're perfectly happy where they are, and wouldn't need to post further reviews. (why post every month "I'm still happy with my host... again!") Also alot of people start reseller accounts with the intention of getting a dedicated server eventually. If the host is good, business will probably be good and it doesn't take long to earn enough to spring for the dedicated box. If the host is bad, you're going to see them jump around alot till they find a good one!

5 Months with Dathorn and I am very happy there. Good uptimes, good support, good packages, good costs. What more would you want?

Posted by voleet, 11-21-2003, 05:16 PM
very good support, very good packages, and very good costs lol

Posted by xtsy, 11-22-2003, 02:25 AM
Dont know what that means but I dont have energy to move my 100+ sites to another host just to find out "another" company is same. Tellme few names of the company who never has any complain against them. I have seen complains about HTTPME,Voxtreme Dathorn Here in WHT.People are never satisfied even though they get host like HTTP,Vox etc. I Just want to be relaxed and not overact when sites are down ,thats all. whoever the host is they are going to fix it as soon as they can, No doubt about it. There are stories about MChost and other host, I have too, but in the end you will find the same experience with every host. Some are polite, some are not, Some has 99% uptime some dont. in the end you just have to know what you want. Regards

Unitedhosting - supreme support and very nice people with it - all the normal facilities you require and then some. Take a look at them, months and rising

I kinda have been. I have been with my host, not as a reseller, for about 4 or 5 months. I hosted about 7 sites with him and was very happy with the level of service I received. Just last week he asked me if I was hosting so many sites if I wanted a reseller account. I didn't know much about it, but he explained the benefits of it to me, and I decided to try it. So, I have been with the same host for longer than that, but only as a reseller for a few days. We developed a pretty good working relationship and as a result he hooked me up with a huge plan, and I'm not even sure I know what to do with it. I guess that doesn't really answer your question, sorry.

That's one of the wierdests posts I've seen in a long while. Ok, looking past your abusive use of the English language I still don't understand your point.
