| 1. You can use Windows built-in alerts and monitoring features.
2. You can use tools like Nagios, Munin, Cacti to monitor the linux and windows servers.

| You can use the nagios plugins for monitoring windows systems.

| Something tells me OP would not have much success setting up Nagios, especially win targets.
OP: the Links provided should give you in-dept steps to understand and setup "windows built-in alerts and monitoring features".
I'm afraid if you don't understand those, there is not much anyone else can do.
