Superb Internet? newbie

Posted by heartless, 03-09-2003, 10:29 AM
I am new to this forum. Greetings. I am looking for a reseller provider. I am working up a few web sites for very small businesses who would like to use their site as a brochure on the internet. I am looking at Superb Internet at this time as a possible provider. Does anyone have an opinion on them? I am open to other suggestions. Thanks

The way they do their reseller programs are much likely an affiliate program that you earn some sorts of commisen for every month sales. They look like a proper company by just looking at their site. The page loads decent to me. If this kind of reseller program is what you're looking for. I don't mind giving them a try, since it's free registration.

I used them about two years ago. They were ok then. At the time they did not have a control panel as its development was delayed. I have they controll panel since then and it looks good.

Superb Internet is a large company... they've been around for years. I don't think you would have any problem with them

I would recommend AGAINST "Superb" Internet. I tried them recently as a Windows host and was VERY disappointed. Here are a list of problems I had with them. 1) Could not use their control panel until my domain was re-pointed to their DNS. Which meant I couldn't setup my databases and make sure everything worked before re-pointing my domains. 2) FrontPage extensions did not work out of the gate. I had to open a ticket immediately. It took them hours to fix that, and to answer some basic questions, all this while my domains were already re-poointed and my sites down. 3) Could not connect to the MySql dbs that I created on their site. Took over 24 hours to resolve for a brand new account. I actually don't know if they ever resolved it since I changed my domains back to my previous host (which I had thankfully NOT cancelled yet!). In the process of trying to fix the MySQL problems they broke the FP extensions again. 4) Refused to refund the setup fee after less than a day of service, even though the setup was crap. In summary, I spent over 24 hours (about 12 of that of solid work on my part) and got nothing, Lost money in fact. And my web based businesses were down for 24 hours as a result. Very low integrity on their part, nothing but pre-sales hype. Jeff Alberts www.infinite-realities.com
