Complete Reseller Host!

Posted by worldfire, 11-03-2002, 02:40 PM
I am looking for a host, for resellers, that offers domain registration, and hosting services for resale. I'm looking for one that offers a solid foundation and includes nameservers for the host. Can anyone provide some suggestions of solid companies to look at?

So you are looking for a pay-per-plan sort of reseller (you resell your host's plans), not a bulk reseller plan (one in which you make you own plans and control your own clients)?

Actually, I am looking for something where I can manage my own servers, setup the sizes and configurations I want. Something that gives me complete control, but has serious support and services. Something that has good value, and is fairly simple to use. Main key here. I recently signed up for AIT IMHIP plan. I've had issue after issue over the last few days on getting my DNS setup, getting emails setup, getting anything to work correctly, and they have no "how to" files that show me how to add a new host, or how to manage my DNS, or how to make sure that a customers domain, which I've tried to setup in the host, will actually be connected to my DNS and on to my server.

worldfire: So now you are looking for private servers? I'm a bit confused. Last edited by Chicken; 11-03-2002 at 04:50 PM.

Smid... Here is what I'm looking for. I want a server, for hosting, that I can sell hosting packages off of. I want to have my own DNS associated with the server. I want to be able to define my host plans by size, emails, bandwidth, and users. I want to be able to offer domain registration through the same partner. Where I act as the registrant for my customers. Whether my server is dedicated, or Virtual, either way is fine with me. I need something with solid software, and support to make things happen when I need them to. I'm looking for a company that has easy to use interfaces for both myself, and the virtual servers I setup for my customers on my servers.

use http://matrixreseller.com they are solid ! I have been using them since July and although I am waiting for them to upgrade H-Sphere (Their control panel) they been very responsive and honest when problems arise.

Are they using a different software? Or simply an old version of the software? Are you waiting for a new version?

Also, can I register the domains through another registrar and simply point to the DNS? Reason being that other registrars can half the price of their registrations.

Looks like MatrixReseller.com is currently using H-Sphere. iguanahost most be waiting for an upgrade. As for a domain reseller, you might want to check out www.enom.com. I'm not exactly quite sure why you want to be a domain reseller through your host. That won't make anything easier.

Smidwap. If you look at AIT.com, they have a fairly simple program. At least, that is the way that it is presented. And you can offer hosting, domain registration, and internet access through one company. I thought it was a good setup. I'm having issues getting up and running though. That's the only problem I have. I thought their program would be easier than others I've used, except it now turns out to be more difficult. At least the initial learning curve is. One thing I have noticed is that apparently they have just switched to a new user interface, and no one really knows it well now. Maybe they will get their act together soon, but I don't know if they will. Does anyone know anything about Alabanza?
