Best Browser

Whats the best browser in terms of functions and speed? First I have to say that i use Firefox for years, love it. But lets face, it most functions that seems new on a browser regarless if its Firefox, Explorer or Safari that implements, they all come from the same place. Opera. It seems Opera was the one that invented the most great functions like speed urls, tabbing, etc. I can say that the new versions of Opera are incredible in functions. I started using for some time and i started to like more then Firefox. I also tested it that is consumes less RAM then Fifefox when you have allot of websites open, specially because most browsers seem to leak memory. Well the problem with Opera, is for webdesigners, and other dynamic sites. I have seen Opera makes a cache of images and sites, you are updating a site its bugging, since it doenst display the changes. It also happens with pages that use allot of ajax to load changes, Opera just doesnt seem to be the right fit here. And sadly i use this pages allot. The fix is very simple. You can go to the Opera options and turn off caching so it check for new content each time it loads. I have done that but now im really disappointed at it. Now its so fast anymore. In fact its allot slower loading the same pages, like 3 seconds less then Firefox. I suppose that is because it checks now each time every image and content for new one on each load. So I went back to Firefox. If Opera did not had that problem I would really love it. But for dynamic and ajax sites, or that are updates on real time its not good. Firefox never had that problem. Another big problem I noticed with Opera was when using fast Internet connections, 10 Mbits or more. It wants to cach the pages so fast that the page loads a mess and content loads on the wrong place. I could not even surf Amazon with it since it broke the whole page in 2. Im the only one that experiment this or is there someone else?

Too much of a personal preference for anyone to answer. Personally, I use SeaMonkey (previously called Mozilla), but also use Firefox. I often use lynx (text based browser) since most of my day is spend in shell.

I like Firefox (specifically PortableApps version of FF). If nothing else, just stay away from IE because it's obviously a huge target. Microsoft's update/patch schedule (and the sheer scope/considerations they have to face to get out a patch) makes it very difficult for them to fix issues quickly. I also like the wide range of plugins for FF, so that's a plus. For speed, try the FasterFox plugin. Some features are a bit aggressive, but regardless it can certainly speed up browsing.
