Kayako Live Response, RAM Hungry?

Posted by WorldOfComputing, 07-23-2008, 02:49 PM
Hey guys, I'm using kayako live response and i have about 4 staff members using the win app right now only 2, and my WHM service status is saying that my system is using almost 100% RAM.... any ideas? Thanks.

Your work pc or your server???

My server.

Yeah, I'm noticing similar results on ours as well lately. We keep our own website stuff on a separate dedicated server - so there should be absolutely no load issues with this. --Tina

I now looked at the Apache/Memory/CPU usage option on WHM and it showed me the problem ... One of my resellers clients was using 72% of the systems RAM.. F***ER, lol.

Wow, you're off to a great start since your Crissic thread! Sounds like you really respect your clients!

I do respect my clients but not when i have just had to re install the OS and rebuild the node because of it

Ah I see... you can swear at people and it is OK because you had a hard day at work.

Posted by WorldOfComputing, 07-23-2008, 09:18 PM
It was a joke if you hadn't noticed. But its OK to steal someone's domain eh?

Posted by Skylar MacMinn, 07-23-2008, 09:20 PM
Wasn't stolen. I wouldn't exactly call swearing a joke either

Posted by WorldOfComputing, 07-23-2008, 09:24 PM
Well i blanked it which basically means i wasn't saying it. and i think you'll find it was stolen as it was pushed to your account without my permission. And if its not OK to swear how come you can swear on MSN which you all saw on the thread i started hmm?

Ummm knock knock knock? Is your brain there? You re-installed the os and rebuilt the node because you had a client using 70% of your resources.... am i the only one who read that?

Posted by WorldOfComputing, 07-23-2008, 09:34 PM
No I didn't do that because they were using 70% RAM, i did it because the server and node were not responding because the server was rebooted several times and then stopped responding, then the node was not accessible.

1) Its not a node, you have a VPS -- check your status.world-of-computing.com page for clarification 2) If it is non-responsive, then the best option wouldn't be to do that. Typically it would be due to your RAM capping out, causing items to be un-reachable, which by disabling things, upgrading your RAM, or suspending clients like that will typically fix it.

Hold on - pardon my stupidity, as your brilliance is shining here. You clearly just said the client made you reformat the server because they were using high resources. Now you are saying that you formatted the server because you restarted it and it wouldn't come back online. If i was your client, i think i would be happy that i would be offline to have a server rebuilt due to it becoming unaccessible, but because a client used to much resources so we restarted it.

I don't think it was appropriate to enter this thread after the fiasco in the other thread huge thread. The term 'let sleeping dogs lie' would come to mind in this instance.

This issue appears to be resolved and this thread train has been derailed... /thread
