Linux Stress testing

I am looking for a good test tool for Linux only systems I can use to stress areas like. CPU Memory LAN Disks basic components of a system. Anyone know of some good ones?

drive: hdparm -Tt /dev/sda lan: download a local speedtest file from your provider cpu: I like to write a script that'll run "uptime" a thousand times as possible and see what the load is by the time it's finished. Look into ApacheBench too; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ApacheBench Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_server_benchmarking
