Where to get fairly Good Reviews?

I know recellar.com, anyone knows other fairly fair forums/sites that offer indipendant reviews of hosting companies especially for dedicated servers

Check out MikeA's post at http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=2438 It's not too busy right now, but I expect it will offer a wealth of info for reseller hosts/clients in the near future.

Try http://www.hostindex.com or http://www.hostsearch.com They are sometimes a bit slow, but if you cathch them on a good day, you can get information there.

Personally, after finding out that hostsearch doesn't have ONE review of *****, I'm not telling anyone to bother going there for information. I find it very hard to believe (this has been discussed on another forum but just adding my 2 clams). I'm sure it has plenty of useful info besides this, but that really irks me.

I think the best place to find out about any hosting company is right here. Good or bad, the people in this forum pull no punches. flamethrow Use the search feature in the top right hand corner of the page. If you can't find any information about a particular host, post your question here. Someone here has probably used them.

I agree with UnitedTec. It's very hard to get good, honest reviews about hosts. That's why there's a place like WHT. Don't forget, you'll always here something bad about EVERY host. You have to filter through all the reviews and decide for yourself. Obviously if a host is bashed constantly, then you could assume that they are terrible.

I am going to jump on the WebHostingTalk bandwagon as well :jump on bandwaggon: By using the search function you can find really detailed information about different hosts Plus if you find nothing usually there is a registered user or guest who usually knows something or can refer your somewhere The only exceptions are the mole/spies/spammers that try to be disguised for a bad, company but usually get exposed (the CDS squad is trully formidable) The hint is by searching on them, you find out that 99.9% of their posts are saying nice things about a bad company (or unknown company) later David

I dont think the reviews shown on the host directory sites are that bad. As long as you take what they say with a large pinch of salt :-) Any source of information you find on a potential host has to be a good thing in my book. James

The problem starts when you never see a negative review in those services. That leads to the belief that the hosts are biased and only let nice reviews through. later David
