Where to start in linux?

I want to study managing linux server.. But where should I start? I'm totally newbie.. Thanks!

You should start by reading some documentation about the basic commands: >> http://www.scribd.com/doc/63355696/T...Cheat-Sheet-V5 Then I'd suggest that you read about shell pipes: >> http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/2156 Once that is done, you should be ready to start learning about the package manager of your system (dpkg, rpm) which varies based on the distribution that you use. There's a lot more reading possible but I'd advise you focus on the services/protocols that you want to use (ssh, ftp, http, etc) and their relative documentation. That should be a good start

Take a look. I'd suggest to install some virtual environment for tests. For instance, with use of virtual box.

I suggest installing it on your PC / a spare PC and try using it for a while as your main OS, it's the best way to learn.
