PHP encryption, best solution?

Posted by DAINRYONE, 07-01-2010, 01:38 AM
What would be the best and cheapest option to encrypt a PHP script? If possible I would also like to give out licenses. Does anybody have some good advise here?

You mean obfuscators, and yes, ioncube is the other popular alternative. It's much less expensive than Zend.

Are there any obstructions by hosts not supporting any particulair encrypted files by the way?

It really depends though most shared providers support both Zends and Ioncubes products. I personally prefer Ioncube as it's pretty darn good and much cheaper - they also have a tool to do a single script for a few cents instead of a big fee.

Do you have a link to that tool CodyRo? Since it is only one script I want to encrypt.

You can also check SourceGuardian, it has all the features and it is very affordable (199$). If you do not require extra/advanced features, they have another product phpshield (99$). http://www.sourceguardian.com/ http://www.phpshield.com/
