Exchange Reseller Recommendations

Posted by autumnwalker, 05-23-2012, 09:37 AM
Hello, I have a client asking for Microsoft Exchange services on some of his hosting packages with me. Can someone recommend an Exchange reseller which can preferably integrate with WHMCS? Thanks!

But can't you build your plans and still sell/bill using whmcs? You won't find any automation using whmcs -- at least I have never seen it and I have seen just about everything.

Ideally WHMCS could auto-provision the Exchange service like it does with domains and web space.

You won't find any. whmcs is not compatible with the infrastructure and software required for hosted exchange. You will need to provision it with what the reseller has and handle the ar and crm with whmcs

So, basically I'd have to advertise it and have a "contact for more information" type thing setup?

If it were me I would use whmcs to sell the exchange plan and with a "please allow 24hrs [or whatever] for setup" message and then go to your exchange provider and set up the plan. email user with account info when its ready. Because you may have some dns, mail migration and Outlook setup tasks to perform, there really is no such thing as "instant setup."

Understood, thanks for the info. Recognizing the conflict of interest (based on your signature) can you recommend some Exchange Resellers? Are they typically pay-per-use for the reseller or a yearly fee to resell the service?

I have used and continue to use Intermedia's reseller plan for some situations (not found here) and can recommend them. I have no complaints, except for some of the frontline support. You pay per mailbox as you need them. Last edited by Collabora; 05-23-2012 at 01:31 PM.

How good is the response time with the pay per mailbox?
