We have issues installing CentOS on this anyone shed some light on this?

| Are you using software raid with the megasr driver? That can be a total PITA with any linux OS.

Are you using that specific driver? If so for later kernel versions you will need to first install the kerel, copy the .so and edit the vercheck then rebuild the initrd before it will even work.
