Yes, you should be fine.

We upgraded Apache 2.2 to 2.4 about 2 years ago and everything went fine, no problems at all. In the unlikely case you have any issues, you can always run EasyApache again and go back to 2.2 but I don't believe that you will need to do so.

Go ahead, it will work out of the box. Remember to make a backup of /usr/local/apache before starting with the upgrade. 99% of the cases you will not need it. You will need to check the custom configuration for domains that have such. Unless you have put custom configurations for some of the sites by hand, then you shouldn't worry about this part. If you are also changing php version, then backup also /usr/local/bin/php.ini. You may need to fine tune it a bit after the upgrade depending on the new php version deprecated stuff. Remember to check "Silence deprecated patch" (or something like) option in the php exhaustive options list.

Hi, Yes, it is safe. No issues with this encountered thus far and cPanel has been offering it for long time now.

1 for that. I have not found any issues after upgrading.

Yes, it's safe and it has been offered in cPanel for a while. I know they put terms like "experimental" but really, the only thing you need to worry about is any custom Apache directives globally and per a domain. Also, make note that particular PHP directives have been depreciated in newer versions like 5.5 and 5.6. If you want to continue to use those applications you can amend your php.ini file to suppress those notifications but the best option is to just update outdated applications.
